Current Thigh Boot Makers

I had an order in to Paul Bond Company (Effingham) via Bruce Hunt and it was paid for, but they folded before they made my boots. I have seen some made by a some company on the Hot Boots website (hotboots.com)
One is COP BOOTS (copboots.com) who claims to make fully lined boots to your sketches and they're in Canada. I couldn't get their website photos to show up but they call them "Reenactment" boots.
The ABOVE company is WILLING to make these boots, whereas DEHNER had really rather not, and they are as expensive as they are slow.
Konig does make the over-the-knee Napoleonic style boot with a very stiff lining but that doesn't go up the thigh.
My favorites were the Effinghams (made by Bond) and the medium stiff lining was just right.
Go to the site called A NICE WORLD OF TALL BOOTS (intoboots.free.fr/) and you'll see the greatest variety of English Riding boots ever, including thigh highs with stiff linings.
My complaint about many thigh high bootmakers today who advertise is that they don't know that riding boots are SUPPOSED to be STIFF and they make the shafts look like glove leather, all wrinkled. They're no fun when you can't feel 'em on!
JEAN GABORIT (www.jg-equitation.com/index.php) makes a Napoleonic boot that looks very stiff and they might be talked into adapting their SOLONGE style into a thigh high for you. The BOOTS FOR GUYS boots (www.bootsforguys.com) are way too flimsy to look right. GOOD LUCK!

This is one of my favorite pairs and they are softer at the knees than they look. They are most comfortable, outside or in. In this photo a girlfriend is wearing them.

Yeah some of you hate the heels. I don't. I wish Dehner or somebody would make STIFF LINING RIDING BOOTS WITH HIGH HEELS... that would complete my wish. I don't like it when they assume than girls want the flimsy leather and just give us guys the stiff linings. Anybody remember JANE BADHAM in "V"? She had stiff riding boots with a small heel. Anyway, this girl wouldn't have to walk much in these heels... she'd be on her back most of the time.

Interesting string! I've ridden in Household Cavalry Jackboots for real - sod all sensation of the horse as they're only fit to be polished, blame Queen Victoria - but I won't drone on about it. They were'nt like that when cavalry was really used in war at not just for parades.

I'll try to find some flat heel thigh high boots but with a girl this hot, the whole package looks pretty good!
