Laces do not belong on women's feet! Ugh!

I have always HATED laces.... laces are for corsets, footballs, but they make shoes incredibly ugly. Sneakers are the ugliest footwear ever to be made by man. I think shoe designers have "UGLY CONTESTS" to see how ugly they can design shoes and people buy and wear them.

PADDOCK BOOTS are the ugliest thing a woman or man can put on their feet. They look either like CLOWN SHOES or they look like ORTHOPEDIC SHOES that people with foot problems are forced to wear. Women in paddock boots look awful to me.

PLAIN BOOTS and PLAIN PUMPS are the most flattering (and sexy) things that women can wear, bar none... forget buckles, bows, zippers, straps or buttons... keep it plain... of course I.M.H.O.

I don't know who had these but these were on ebay and they look like Ariats with a custom Cuban heel. They have not been worn but they look like they would be very soft at bending the knees. Ariat usually only makes boots for women, so some gal must have worn these and too bad we don't have the pix.

On ebay?? I check ebay every day, some noce PHOTOS there. How did I miss THESE?? On Geman or Spainish ebay??? I get U.S and U.K.

I am also strictly an English Riding Boot fan, no laces, no toe caps (ugh). I have owned about 5 pair of thigh high English boots but as I gained weight my feet got too big for them and I now regret that I sold them. My favorites were made (cheerfully, I might add) by Effingham and were about $550 to $650 which was less than most knee high boots and far less than Dehners would have cost. I had 3 pair (at different times) by Dehner but they would not make them in leather for me and made them in "Dehcord" which wound up cracking, but they looked great and were fun to wear. An ancestor of mine in the 1800's was in the Prussian Guard and you are familiar with those thigh high boots and his spirit may be the reason for my fascination for them! It was said that he had designed a uniform that was named for him, so my love for tall boots goes back a couple of centuries.
It will be fun if you could post the address of the German Carnival here, or even post some of the right photos. Thanks!

Hi, PRESSIAN GUARD. Will check with my GERMAN friend he might help find something on that carnival. There are quite a few events there where HIGH BOOTS are worn. YOU might go on line and look.
I am sure if YOU want YOU can sell the BOOTS YOU can't use. I see many RIDING BOOTS for sale on line. Have met some nice RIDING BOOT people that sell RIDING BOOTS.

Unfortunately, I have already sold the ones I could wear and it is most unfortunate that the Bond Boot Company closed. I had an order in to that company at the time that they suddenly went out of business. The Effingham boot is the nicest looking low price boot and I liked the way they fit. Here's one more pair to peruse. Thank you for your kind words and enthusiasm. I like looking at beautiful women wearing them and I enjoy wearing them as well. I assume that you do as well and I enjoy your posts. I also like the posts of Ray.... what a collection of photos he has!

THANKS, P.G. Just a note. Many, many years ago cowboys and cowgirl wore such BOOTS:) Many photos of Buffalo Bill Cody wore such BOOTS. He was not the ONLY one. I am trying to find good clear photos of the girls at the 101 ranch showing good photos of their BOOTS. Sorry to say they wore LONG skirts:(

I share the same sentiment as you do when you wear your thigh high boots under your trousers. I do that offen with bootchaps modified from crotch high engineer boots at 34" tall. I have heard of Effingham thigh boots which was made by the Paul Bond Company which had gone bust many years ago. At that time, Bruce Hunt was taking orders for them. I fancy they are rather stiff but need not realize that they can be comfortable after breaking in. My crotch high engineers were not stiff when they are just out of the box, so I am sure what's the feeling is like. Do you know of any bootmakers that make such stiff thigh high boots.
