I personally do not think the women are lesbians or are about to get intimate. Women have no issues with superficial intimacy with other women. Of course one is free to imagine about these two.

Personally I think the women look confident and have a somewhat smug air about them. Maybe they are rich, or they know that they are good-looking and look great in this equestrian show attire.

I also do not think that they mind a guy drooling and slobbering all over the toe caps of their field boots. Of course the guys must clean their boots well and give a good kiss to them afterwards.
