South African Riding Mistress

Coming into May again makes me think of last summer and the holiday job I got at a large country estate, close to where my parents live. I had just finished my second year at uni and wanted to earn some extra money while I was back home. My Dad told me that there was a job going at Carnmore Estate now that the new owners had moved in, a wealthy businessman and his new wife. This guy was minted and had been made Sir something or other. His wife was Lady Anna.
Well I phoned up the estate and was told by the farm manager that Lady Anna was doing interviews for the "position" as her husband was away a lot on business, to South Africa I think. I was instructed to be at the estate stableyard at 9.00am sharp for my assessment....
